Find your way to yourself.

Hello, I'm Maya

Helping you live a life that feels fully, authentically yours — on your own terms.

I became a psychologist because I believe every person deserves to feel understood, supported, and capable of change. Whatever you bring to our sessions, I will meet you with care, honesty, and complete dedication.

I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with over 18 years of experience in NHS and private practice supporting people through some of life's most difficult moments. My approach is integrative and deeply person-centred — meaning I draw on a range of evidence-based therapies and tailor every aspect of our work specifically to you, your history, your values, and your goals.

I believe that no two people are the same, and your therapy shouldn't be either.

At the heart of what I do is a genuine therapeutic relationship built on trust, warmth, and collaboration. I work with young people, adults, and older adults across a wide range of concerns, and I am committed to creating a space where you feel truly heard — without judgement, without pressure, and entirely at your own pace. Whatever has brought you here, I am glad you've taken this first step.

What I Do

You don't have to keep struggling alone.

Life can bring challenges that feel overwhelming — and sometimes we need more than willpower to move through them.

Mental Health & Emotional Wellbeing

Supporting people through depression, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, trauma, and PTSD — helping you process, recover, and reconnect with your sense of self. I also support clients with complex emotional needs such as EUPD, and BiPolar Disorder or eating difficulties.

Relationships & Personal Growth

I support individuals to navigate relationship difficulties, personality challenges, and life transitions with greater self-awareness — building resilience, confidence, and a clearer sense of who you are.

Long-Term Health Conditions

I offer psychological and emotional support for those living with long-term health condition such as chronic pain, Fibromyalgia, cancer, or stroke — helping you adapt, cope, and reestablish quality of your life.

Supervision

I supervise trainees and qualified clinicians. This can be delivered in a group or individual format.

The Process

Your journey begins with a single, courageous step.

Getting started is simpler than it might feel right now. You reach out, and we arrange an initial consultation — a relaxed, confidential conversation where I listen carefully to understand what you're experiencing and what you're hoping for. From there, we build a personalised therapy plan together, working collaboratively at a pace that feels right for you, every step of the way.

Modalities

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

DBT builds practical skills for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and increase distress tolerance. It also addresses impulsivity and feeling of abandonment. It was specifically created for individuals who experience symptoms of EUPD.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT guides you to accept difficult thoughts and feelings without letting them control your life, so you can focus on what truly matters. In conjunction with mindfulness and behavioural changes, ACT helps to  move towards psychological  flexibility.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing)

EMDR is a powerful, evidence-based therapy that helps you process and heal from traumatic memories that continue to affect your wellbeing. It also aims to improve your future coping strategies. Recent research enabled EMDR also to address other difficulties, such as depression, anxiety disorders and addictions.

Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)

CFT is especially helpful for those who struggle with intense self-criticism or shame, fostering a kinder, more supportive relationship with yourself as the foundation for lasting change.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

CBT helps you identify and gently challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours that may be keeping you stuck, making it particularly effective for anxiety, depression, and stress, but also long-standing belief-systems.

Mindfulness Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based approaches help you develop a calmer, more compassionate awareness of your thoughts and feelings in the present moment, reducing overwhelm and building emotional balance.

CAT (Cognitive analytical therapy)

It merges cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with psychoanalytic approaches, focusing on identifying unhealthy relationship patterns and coping mechanisms stemming from early life to develop practical, positive changes.
